Founder of the Institute of
Contemporary Culture, Canadian anthropologist Dr. Grant McCracken brought me on board as the
photographer for his project, Toronto
Teens Making Choices in the 1990s. Retracing Dr. McCracken’s steps, I photographed the people he
interviewed and locations that were integral to his research.
The photographs selected here are a sample from the large-scale exhibition that took place at the Royal Ontario Museum in the summer of 1992. Video interviews and artifacts of clothing were shown in conjunction with this display. The entire work now resides in the archives of that museum.
